BoI to phase out use of Laser cards

The move from Laser to Visa debit cards – something which National Irish Bank and Ulster Bank have already done – will, according to BoI, enhance the customer offering, giving users better security and more choice when it comes to making electronic payments.

Ireland has the highest per capita usage of ATMs in Europe and BoI has around one million Laser-using personal banking customers.
