SMALL firms are feeling more positive about the business environment than this time last year but they said the Government must do more to help.

Small firms ‘feeling more positive’

A survey conducted by the Small Firms Association (SFA) found a fifth of companies rate the overall business environment to be either “very good” or “good”, an increase of 6% on the previous quarter and a 12% increase on quarter three of 2009.

Almost three in 10 companies expect their business to be “very good” or “good” in three months representing an increase of 10% on this time last year.
