AER LINGUS expects to break even this year for the first time since 2007 as its losses reduce significantly.

For the six months to June 30, losses were €20.8 million, which marks a 74% improvement on the same period last year when the company recorded losses of €81.7m.

Its shares dived 4.3% yesterday to 89 cent. It also has plans to join an alliance in the coming years.
