€37m to aid ‘smart’ jobs

The money will be invested – via Minister Batt O’Keeffe’s Department of Enterprise, Trade and Innovation – in establishing a network of “industry-led research centres” allowing for closer collaboration between the business and academia communities.

Funds will go towards the establishment of research centres to be used by universities and businesses to jointly produce innovative products with real market potential and new high-quality jobs.
