Factory gate prices rise 1% in April

MONTHLY factory gate prices increased by 1.0% in April 2010. This compares to an increase of 0.5% for April 2009.

In the month the price index for export sales increased by 0.8% while the index for home sales rose 1.7%.

There were significant increases in bread and confectionary (+1.3%) and computer, electronic and optical products (+1.0%), while there was a decrease in fish & fish products (-1.4%).
