LABOUR Affairs Minister Dara Calleary says there is a continuing danger relating to health and safety on farms. There there have been 10 deaths in accidents so far this year.

Mr Calleary is responsible for national policy on occupational health and safety and was meeting farm and insurance interests.

At a previous meeting he asked the farm organisations to co-ordinate their efforts and come back to him with their plans in four weeks. Since that meeting the minister said he had received submissions outlining the plans of the various bodies.
