THE latest milk auction prices in the North have set a benchmark for co-ops in the south, the Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers Association has claimed.

ICMSA Diary Committee chair Pat McCormack said the auction price of milk was set in the North at 25.63 pence per litre (28.7 cent per litre).

Dairy farmers expect coops come up to this benchmark when making their announcements over the coming weeks, he said.
