A NUMBER of airport authorities have alleged that Ryanair has persistently delayed paying airport charges in proceedings brought against the airline.

Since proceedings were issued last month by Dublin, Cork and Shannon Aviation authorities, Ryanair has paid some €1.4 million due but is disputing whether a further €1.5m is owed.

Paul Sreenan SC, for the three authorities, said airport charges are required to be paid within 30 days.
