Mexico inflation and job creation up

Mexico City: An increase in taxes pushed Mexico’s inflation rate higher in early January while December data showed a recovery in jobs and exports, building pressure on the central bank to raise interest rates this year.

Consumer prices rose 4.17% in the year through mid-January, more than expected.
