THE Irish market traded marginally higher yesterday, wavering around 3,100 points.

Market gains little on low volumes

Volumes were weak as the ISEQ index added 10.13 points to close at 3,108.17.

The banking stocks had relatively solid performances in thin trading. AIB was unchanged at €1.48 while newly restructured Irish life and Permanent was down 2c from Friday to €3.92. Bank of Ireland was 0.5c weaker, finishing at €1.51.
