Hikes in fuel, insurance and transport on the horizon

CONSUMERS are facing hikes in petrol, public transport and insurance following months of spiralling prices for the products.

The cost of petrol was already increased 6.5% this year before the hike announced in the budget.

Bus fares are up almost 12% in the year while rail travel is up just over 8%. These costs are set to rise even further following the 4.2c increase on petrol announced in the budget.
