Avoca profits unravel by 45%

AVOCA Handweavers, the Wicklow-based food and clothing retailer, saw profits plunge 45% last year.

Accounts just filed at the Companies Registration Office show the company reported pre-tax profits of €406,746 in the year to end January 2009,

Avoca, which is owned by the Pratt family, designs and manufactures its own clothing, food and home furnishings from its Wicklow base.
