Household wealth to fall by more than €100k

THE wealth of every household in Ireland will have plunged by more than €100,000 by the time the housing market bottoms out at the end of next year.

This will bring household wealth back to 2004 levels.

At the end of 2006, total household assets were €824 billion, representing a 97% increase in value over the previous five-year period.
