The bank stocks had a mixed day as AIB regained some of Friday’s heavy losses by increasing 1.8c to finish at €3.006. Bank of Ireland continued to slide, shipping 13.7c to €2.943 despite moving in and out of positive territory throughout the session. Irish Life and Permanent had a good day adding 17c to €5.47.

In construction, CRH managed to claw back some of its recent losses. Worse than expected US jobless figures on Friday saw the stock dip, however the addition of 30c to €18.45 went some way to regaining these losses.
