EMPLOYERS group IBEC said any expectations of wage increases next year are unrealistic.

IBEC: Pay rise hopes ‘unrealistic’

The union reiterated its call for a formal suspension of the pay terms of last year’s national agreement, which it believes are no longer sustainable.

It is calling on the Government to bring the social partners together for what it called a final effort to conclude an agreement on national recovery, with a focus on tackling the unemployment crisis.
