THE ISEQ index ended the day up 15.93 at 3,273.62 having been weak up to mid-afternoon.

Profit takers were to the fore throughout the day before buyers steadied the ship.

In the financial sector all eyes are on tomorrow when the Minister for Finance will introduce the NAMA legislation and outline the key financial details of the plan. AIB gained 1.9c to €2.60, Bank of Ireland added 13c to €2.84, while Irish Life & Permanent progressed 13.6c to €5.61.
