Dublin: Vodafone Ireland has become the second largest player — behind Eircom — in the Irish fixed broadband market, with a 15% share, after taking control of 87,000 business and residential customers of BT Ireland.

Dublin: Vodafone Ireland has become the second largest player — behind Eircom — in the Irish fixed broadband market, with a 15% share, after taking control of 87,000 business and residential customers of BT Ireland.

The two companies announced yesterday BT will transfer its consumer and small business broadband client roster (as well as voice telephone customers) to Vodafone Ireland as part of a €4.8 million deal.
