Only a quarter protect income

ALMOST three out of four Irish people are worried about protecting their income but less than a quarter currently have income protection.

According to an Irish Life survey of 1,000 people in April, 74% of Irish adults are concerned about protecting their income. However, only 23% currently have any form of income protection.

Income protection is an insurance policy that provides a replacement income for claimants who are unable to work due to accident or illness.
