Slight ISEQ fall in light volume

THE Dublin market closed slightly down yesterday with very light volumes being the most noteworthy aspect of the trading session. The ISEQ index dropped 4.61 points to 2693.37.

A mixed day saw Bank of Ireland push ahead 4c to 1.50, while AIB shed 3c to 1.30. Irish Life and Permanent remained steady to close at 3.003.

It was a negative day for construction stocks as CRH lost 16c to 17.71. Kingspan and Grafton Group followed suit, shipping 8c and 3c to 4.62 and 2.62 respectively.
