LIMERICK CHAMBER,in association with Peninsula Business Services, is to host an employment law evening on Thursday in South Court Hotel from 6.15pm to 8pm, focusing on employment legislation in the workplace, specifically aimed at owners and managers in the area.

The discussion will outline the latest developments in employment legislation and allow attendees the opportunity to evaluate their own HR practices. The forum agenda will cover a range of topics including; Employment Law Compliance Bill, amending contracts, managing redundancy, absence management and the implications of NERA (National Equality Rights Authority) grievance and disciplinary procedures, minimum notice, unfair dismissal, contracts, leave, NERA and working time regulation.

“In current economic circumstances and with the introduction of NERA and the other many changes in employment law, business must ensure they are compliant with all aspects of current and future legislation or even the most financially-robust business may face hefty awards or fines,” explained Maria Kelly, chief executive of Limerick Chamber.
