THE ISEQ index finished down 10.23 points at 2,084.71 yesterday on a quiet day for trading.

The financial stocks had a mixed day. AIB dropped 3c to 55c, Bank of Ireland slipped 5c to 32c, Irish Life and Permanent gained 1c to 78c, while insurance group FBD increased 18c to e6.25.

In construction, CRH added 7c to e15.60, Grafton Group advanced 3c to e1.63 and Kingspan gained 1c to e2.85.

In other news, Ryanair fell 3c to e2.84, Aer Lingus was unchanged at 57c, Kerry Group fell back 33c to e15.07, C&C shed 2c to €1.11 while Elan was 5c weaker at e4.18.
