BANK OF IRELAND has launched a €100 million fund to support the financing of Irish-based renewable energy projects.

This is the first in a series of initiatives totalling €200m planned by the bank that will support environmentally friendly projects.

The bank said it aims to grow its share of the Irish renewable energy market and views the sector as one of significant potential.
