Public sector unions must get a grip on facts

PUBLIC sector unions need to get a grip. Rather than taking us through a time warp to a dim and not so distant past, when their actions ensured our economy was in the doldrums, they need to urgently change focus from crying about how hard done by they feel, to ensuring their members appreciate the dire circumstances we now find ourselves in.

Public sector unions must get a grip on facts

That they do not appear to understand this is apparent from their joint decision to bring a country, already grinding to a halt because of the actions of others, into even further decline.

Those actions are not being helped by Eamonn Gilmore, leader of the Labour Party, or Enda Kenny, leader of Fine Gael, playing to the gallery.
