Market continues steady advance

THE Irish market began the week as it left off last week by making steady ground yesterday, a trend which was broadly in line with other European bourses.

The ISEQ index rose 82.38 to finish at 2,501.88.

The financials had a relatively positive day, despite the announcement of figures for 2008 which confirmed the ISEQ Financials index fell by over 90% during the year.
