Market treads water on slow day

THE Irish market slipped into negative territory yesterday, having been slightly ahead during morning trading.

The ISEQ index closed the day down 26.16 points at 2,347.89.

Recapitalisation was at the forefront of investors’ thoughts again as the market continued to assess what affect the Government plans would have on the institutions.
