Market again in negative territory

THE Irish market fell again yesterday as investors held out for more details from the Government on its proposed €€10bn banking sector bailout.

The ISEQ index slipped 38.16 points to 2,472.76.

A mixed day was played out among the financials; AIB and Bank of Ireland shed 7c and 6c to €1.90 and 92c. Anglo-Irish had another negative day shipping 6c to 30c. Irish Life and Permanent was the only main bank to gain, adding 4c to €1.70.
