Maryborough scoops award

THE Maryborough Hotel and Spa — one of Cork’s most popular hotels — has become the only hotel in Europe to be awarded the highest level in a quality award that recognises excellence across all areas of the business.

The hotel joined leading European organisations such as Siemens, Volkswagen and Philips at the highest level of the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) business excellence model award in Europe.

The hotel is the only one in Europe to get this level of achievement in 2008 and is the first Irish hotel ever to receive the top level on the EFQM Excellence Model.
