Services firms are cutting staff

MORE than one in four employers in the services sector are cutting staff, it has emerged in the latest NCB Services Purchasing Managers’ Index.

And the October index pointed to a considerable decline in activity.

“For the first time since the survey began, Irish service providers expected their activity to be lower in twelve months’ time,” the survey’s authors said
