SHARE price plunges among the banking and airline stocks sent the Irish market lower, for the third consecutive session, yesterday.

The ISEQ index lost 256.95 to finish at 4,619.20.

The beginning of a busy week of reporting for banks in Ireland and Britain and saw the share price of the major players fall. AIB and Bank of Ireland fell 80c and 59c to €7.40 and €5.01. Anglo-Irish shed 76c, while Irish Life and Permanent was 47c in the red at €4.60.
