More jitters plague Dublin market

A fall in construction stocks resulted in recent Dublin gains being eroded as investor confidence took another knock. The ISEQ index dropped 203.10 points to 4956.63.

Irish financials faired little better than construction. AIB and Bank of Ireland shed 16c and 25.9c to 8.50 and 5.90 respectively. Irish Life and Permanent lost 55c to 5.35, while Anglo-Irish followed the trend losing 15.4c to 6.576.

UK-based Taylor Wimpey announced on Thursday that it was renegotiating with its lenders. This led to CRH, down 89c to 17.15, while Kingspan and Grafton Group finished also lower at 6.73 and 3.71.
