THE Irish market made another slight gain on yesterday as oil prices continued to ease on the back of weakening consumer demand.

The ISEQ index closed the session up 12.36 at 6,120.56.

The financial sector had a mixed day as AIB and Bank of Ireland were laggards, shedding 10.5c and 31c to 12.93 and 8.07. Irish Life and Permanent bucked this trend adding 35.4c to 11.06. Meanwhile, Anglo-Irish was the leading movers on the day, posting an increase of 27.5c to 8.825.
