CORK Chamber has refused to commit to a proposal to establish a Cork “embassy” in Dublin.

Chief executive Conor Healy declined to give his support to the establishment of such an embassy, which was first proposed at the Cork Chamber annual conference last year.

President of University College Cork, Dr Michael Murphy said that having a Cork embassy in Dublin would enable the county to be closer to decision makers in Government and the media.
