Sluggish market falls again

THE ISEQ index fell a further 32.73 points yesterday to 5,956.55 amid fears that the global credit crisis is anything but over.

The main financial stocks had another poor day. AIB fell 18c to 12.77, Bank of Ireland shed 20c to lie at 8.80, Irish Life & Permanent dipped 13c to 11.25, while Anglo Irish Bank bucked the trend gaining 16c to 7.89.

CRH dropped a further 9c to 23.36. Grafton fell 12c to 5.37 as brokers lowered their earnings forecast. Kingspan decreased 19c to 7.81 and Abbey lost 6c to rest at 5.80.
