Market back on losing run

FOLLOWING gains on the previous two days’ trading, the Irish market lose ground yesterday as investors looked to bank their profits. The ISEQ index fell 59.43 points to 6,329.97.

The financials occupied prominent positions on the market laggards list thus dragging the index down. AIB and Bank of Ireland dropped 16c and 11c to €13.94 and €9.47. Anglo-Irish slipped 32.4c to €8.05, while Irish Life and Permanent followed the downward trend losing 20c to €12.60.
