IBEC says ‘yes’ to Lisbon Treaty

BUSINESS lobby group IBEC has made a renewed call for a “yes” vote in the Lisbon Reform Treaty, calling the move “a vote for investment, jobs and the economy”. The group, which represents more than 7,000 employers here, said the treaty is “a good deal for Ireland and a good deal for business”.

Over the coming weeks Irish employers will launch a campaign setting out why business supports a ”Yes” vote.

IBEC director of EU and International Affairs Brendan Butler said: “The treaty will reform Europe and enable it to face the many challenges ahead.”
