Market fails to win back lost ground

THE Irish exchange finished in negative territory yesterday for the fourth day in a row on the back of the banking stocks. The ISEQ was 124 points lower at 6,290.

Market fails to win back lost ground

AIB declined 20c to €13.40. Bank of Ireland was 21c worse off at €9.14. Anglo Irish and Irish Life and Permanent fell 10c and 28c to €9.31 and €10.50.

CRH lost a further 85c to €23.70. Kingspan fell 44c to €8.54 following the company’s final year results which were slightly better than forecast. Grafton Group was 29c worse off at €5.08 and McInerney dipped 4c to €1.48.
