Customer sues Bank of Scotland for negligence in granting €400k loan
According to a report by RTÉ, the accusation was made by one of the bank’s customers who applied for the loan, in 2003, in order to invest in a property development.
The customer’s allegation surrounds the interests of the bank employee who sanctioned the loan. The Bank of Scotland employee allegedly offered the customer a development project in which to invest, which they (the employee) privately co-owned.
