Market drop reflected across Europe

THE Irish exchange closed in negative territory in line with other European bourses. The ISEQ ended five points lower at 6,537 on the day.

Market drop reflected across Europe

AIB gained 45c to €13.90 following 2007 final year results today. Bank of Ireland was unchanged at €9.45 despite over four million shares changing hands. Anglo and Irish Life and Permanent closed 6c and 32c weaker at €8.98 and €10.50.

Construction giant CRH fell 12c to €25.80. Kingspan was 13c worse off at €9.14. Grafton Group followed the trend dropping 8c to €5.51.
