The ISEQ Index closed in positive territory yesterday despite fears of spiralling inflation in both Europe and America.

The Dublin market tacked on 70.5 points to 7,091.68.

The Financials drove the upward momentum in the exchange with AIB up 10c to €15.68 and Bank of Ireland added 15c to €10.33. Anglo Irish gained 10c to €10.95 while Irish Life & Permanent lost 9c to €12.37 after a poor trading statement earlier in the week.
