Proposal poses threat to EU firms

THE Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base poses a serious threat to companies doing business in Europe.

However, awareness of the threat is limited, a PricewaterhouseCoopers poll has discovered.

The CCCTB project wants to rewrite the rules for calculating and allocating taxable profits in the EU. That has the potential to have a damaging impact on the tax position of many businesses, yet only 8% of respondents to the poll have any working knowledge of the proposed changes.
