Bulls win out on week’s trading

THE Dublin market brought a mixed week to a close with gains on Friday of 106.82 points to see the index end up at 7,241.12.

The financial stocks were at the forefront as they led the overall market higher. AIB and Bank of Ireland added 12.9c and 10.5c to end the session at e15.729 and e10.975 respectively. Anglo-Irish followed suit, tacking on 26.5c to e11.245. Irish Life and Permanent also moved on 15c to e14.

In construction CRH was the main earner on the index, adding 80c to e25.65.
