Financials drive market gains

THE ISEQ Index regained some of the previous day’s losses yesterday with a strong performance from the financials.

The Dublin market closed 88.21 points higher at 6,970.69.

AIB jumped 20c to €15.10, while Bank of Ireland rose 25c to €10.45. Anglo Irish tacked on 10c to €10.70 and Irish Life & Permanent moved 26c up to €13.05.
