Malicious workers identified as threat

ALMOST one in every two Irish organisations cite malicious employees as a financial threat to their business.

A total of 49% of IT specialists admit disgruntled employees are among a number of corporate security threats causing financial concerns for Irish organisations. Other security worries include the old reliables such as hackers/malware (51%), phishing attacks (52%) and distributed denial of service/denial of service attacks (57%).

The results derived from a survey of more than 70 Irish IT specialists at Citrix’s annual Solutions Seminar in Dublin, confirm people are constantly trying to find new ways to breach corporate networks.
