THE ISEQ Index suffered again yesterday with the downward trend seeming relentless.

Market takes a battering

The Irish market shipped 255.01 to close at 6,397.

The financials were again in the firing line with AIB shedding 39c to €13.22 and Bank of Ireland lost 65c to rest at €9.18. Anglo Irish fell 20c to €8.95 and Irish Life & Permanent haemorrhaged €1.13 to €11.52.
