Economist warns of weaker euro and sterling

SLOWER economic growth in Britain and the US will lead to a weakening of both currencies, with the dollar in danger of falling to $1.50 against the euro in the months ahead.

That is according to Ulster Bank economist Simon Barry.

The dollar fell marginally yesterday to $1.4239 to the euro having hit an all-time low of $1.4348 on October 22.
