THE Irish market ended the week on a positive note, as yesterday saw a second consecutive day of gains.

The ISEQ index closed up 90.69 at 7,883.67.

Financial stocks were again the catalyst for the market. AIB was 37c better off at €17, while Bank of Ireland jumped a 40c to €13. Anglo-Irish and Irish Life and Permanent added 56c and 20c to €13.26 and €15.55.
