Trade surplus increases 15%

IRELAND'S trade surplus widened in July as growth in exports outpaced imports, the statistics office said yesterday.

The surplus, adjusted for seasonal swings, rose 15% from a year earlier to €2.66bn. Exports rose 5.7% to €7.74bn, while imports rose 1% to €5.09bn.
