Teagasc course for tillage farmers

AN advanced Teagasc tillage crop management course to provide farmers with the management skills to improve efficiency will commence next month. It will run at Kildalton College and Oak Park research centre until December, 2008.

The 24-day course, aimed at tillage farmers, will focus on areas such as crop nutrition, financial management and renewable energy.

Jim O Mahony, Teagasc tillage crops programme manager, said with current optimism in the cereals sector the timing of this course is opportune.
