THE Irish exchange closed in negative territory as the financial stocks finished in the red.

Market again slips back after gains

The ISEQ dropped 53c to 8,107.

The banking stocks were 191 points lower at the end of the day. AIB dipped 14c to €17.71. Bank of Ireland was 24c lower at €12.48. Anglo Irish and Irish Life and Permanent weakened 10c and 72c to €13.45 and €16.25.
