THE Irish market moved up in line with bourses around the world yesterday.

Market maintains fightback

The ISEQ index gained 75.67 to 8,515.02.

It was a mixed day for the financials as AIB was up 28c to €19 and Anglo-Irish followed suit adding 29c to €14.15. Bank of Ireland faired less well, dropping 9c to €13.66, while competitor Irish Life and Permanent lost 9c to €18.08.
